Vocalist Jesse Leach of Massachusetts metallers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE has revealed that the band has commenced the songwriting process for its next studio album, tentatively due next year. In the latest video update on his official web site, Leach states (see video below): "[We're] starting to demo, starting to get some ideas for the new record. [We're] starting to have that discussion, which is exciting. But that'll be awhile, probably not 'till late this year, early next year when we start reviewing some of that stuff. So that's something that's definitely in the works."Leach also hinted that KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's Halloween (October 31) show at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts will be professionally filmed, presumably for future release. With regards to his THE EMPIRE SHALL FALL project, Leach revealed that the music for a new four-song EP was written almost a year ago but that his schedule has prevented him from finishing up the vocals the effort. Jesse also spoke about the future of TIMES OF GRACE, the project he launched several years ago with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz before the singer rejoined the group. Jesse said: "TIMES OF GRACE, we definitely have ideas and have been talking. We've had a few conversations about what we're gonna do moving forward. We'd like to do an EP, but again, as you can see, I'm pretty busy with KILLSWITCH and THE EMPIRE SHALL FALL. So we'll see if we can squeeze that in. but have no fear. I know I've gotten a lot of emails about this, and I assure you Adam and I are stoked to do another EP or an album. So that will continue to happen. When? I'm not sure. But it's happening."KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's fifth studio album, "Disarm The Descent", sold around 48,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 7 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD arrived in stores on April 2, 2013 via Roadrunner Records. "Disarm The Descent" is KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's first album with Leach at the vocal helm since 2002's now-classic, genre-defining "Alive or Just Breathing".
