Houston rockers KING'S X has just been confirmed as direct support for the forthcoming U.S. tour with Dream Theater and Joe Satriani. This high profile outing will put KING'S X back on the nation's larger tour circuit after three very successful U.S. outings as headliners. Here's what Dream Theater's Mike Portnoy has to say about the tour, "Dream Theater and Joe Satriani will co-headline a US Summer tour throughout August/September with very special guest King's X. Joe will close the show all shows west of the Mississippi, and Dream Theater will close the show all shows east of the Mississippi. Some various dates have slowly been announced and appeared on the net (August 10th at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, August 30th at the DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston, MI and September 13th at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ), but we will have a full schedule in the coming days.... The tour is scheduled to begin in early to mid August and continue through the end of September. A full itinerary is forthcoming. Catch KING'S X on tour in a more intimate setting starting May 29th through July 9th as they continuing in support of "Manic Moonlight"
