Wow...I can't believe it's been 11 years since KISS released a studio album. This new one that's coming up supposedly brings back the band's classic '70s sound. It'll hit Walmart exclusively on October 6.

I would call this spectacular news!!!! And with the new Ace Frehley album coming soon, I'm gonna be one happy dude! Whenever my favorite groups come out with new stuff, it's the fuel which keeps me going through the years. This is great!

Speaking of Ace, here's the promo for his new album Anomaly. I don't know with you guys, but Ace's new album seems to sound better.

Just picked up this album yesterday, and it doesn't sound bad at all. It has the familiar KISS sound from Rock and Roll Over and Love Gun. I think the songs that stand out the most are "Yes I Know (Nobody's Perfect)", "Stand" and "All for the Glory".

Disc 2, on the other hand, is a disaster. Originally released exclusively in Japan last year as Jigoku Retsuden, disc 2 is a re-recording of classic KISS songs by the current lineup. Unfortunately, the band sounds out of tune and their timing is off on nearly all of the tracks.

Sonic Boom is not the best KISS album ever made, and it's not as good as Ace Frehley's Anomaly, but it still worth picking up for the new songs.

Musically, the new Kiss CD isnt too bad...The lyrics on the other hand suck...Plus I can't get past a scab wearing Aces make-up...Just sad....and don't get me started on Thayers "new" outfit...wow.

Aces new CD is pretty good...Better than Sonic Boom.
