For those of you that might care, I've listened to some of a promo from their new release. I'm here to tell you, they've made a classic sounding Kiss album! If you like the classic 70's Kiss sound, then you'll dig the heck out of Sonic Boom. Keep in mind a much thicker, richer sound than those releases in the 70's. If you're a Kiss fan, then this is a must buy! :kickass:

I heard the samples on Youtube and I think it's gonna be a great album. I can also hear some '80's too. From what I've heard plus the interviews it sounds like they had alot of fun making it. Ace Frehley's "Anomaly" is cool and is heavier than his previous albums.

I've heard it also and really liked it. "Say Yeah" is a great song, and the 2 sung by Eric Singer & Tommy Thayer are standouts among the rest of the tracks by far.... good stuff!!

Kiss ranks right up there with Motorhead as those of the "succesful" metal/hardrock bands I just can't stand. :Puke:

That said, I think they've been amazing at marketing themselves over the years, and the new venture they are starting on with Walmart is interesting (it worked for AC/DC and Journey, so I'm sure it'll work for Kiss as well). Clever guys in and behind the band for sure. But dangit, their music SUCKS! :goggly:

What he said to the letter!

I was one of those diehard KISS fans as a kid. I am more into the Eric Carr days though (R.I.P.) and my drumming was heavily influenced by him. Kiss get a lot of slack and shit but I think they have some classic tunes. The Elder was awesome I thought......love Creatures Of The Night, and Animalize, and even the older stuff like Cold Gin, Love Gun, Strutter, Parasite, All American Man, Rock Bottom, and the list goes on and on.

I like the new album. Brings back the classic KISS sound.

BTW some of you may not know that Axenstar did a kick ass power metal version of "Thrills In The Night"!

Agree on just about all points. Never could understand the musical appeal of Kiss.

Coincidental or not, Ace Frehley released a new cd titled Anomoly on Sept. 15th. I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised with it and actually prefer it over the new Kiss material that I have heard.

As a Kiss fan the disc is awesome! It has a Revenge meets Rock and Roll Over vibe to it.

And yeah Never Enough was a total whitesnake rip off (If I remember correctly it was Slow and Easy?). Decent song though.
