My wife and I saw Black Diamond (another tribute band) in a bar in Cheyenne about a decade ago. They had the pyrotechnics and everything. It was a fun show until the pyros at the end sent hot, molten stuff bouncing off the low ceiling and into the crowd. We made our way towards the exit when one chunk embedded itself in the ceiling and continued to glow.

I once caught a tribute band called Gene's Addiction, from Seattle.
Get this ALL of the members were dressed just like Gene Simmons!

hahahaha thats Awsome!!! We had a Kiss tribute band come here 7 years ago haha I think they were called Destroyer I think! ... but they were cool and pulled out all the Kiss tricks and Signed autographs it was cool I still have their autographs somewhere around here

Yeah funny stuff! I've heard of them before and the main guy is a shameless plugger! I've seen him on KISS message boards shamelessly plugging KLOWN all the while mocking the band.
Serious KISS fans don't like the fact that its not a true tribute band but more of a mockery of the band.
I say more power to 'em if thats what they want to do, but I would not pay money to see them mock KISS... too many already do that and its far from original! IMO
