Any Kix fans here? Saw a video on an old tape today and got me wanting to pull out some of the cd. They were a local band from my area, so I got to see them a good bit in the 80's.... even saw them film one of their videos. I always thought they were underrated, they put on one of the most entertaining shows you will ever see. They only members I've met are the 2 guitar players and they were really nice guys. A friend and I found some stolen equipment of theirs, we contacted them and the guitar players met us at a local bar. We hungout for a little while, nice guys. Steve, the singer, still players around here all the time with his new band Funny Money but I've not seen them. Rumor is that Kix is gonna do the reunion thing soon.

Greeno.. you knew I'd jump in on this.

I think that Kix was one of the most under rated bands of the 80's. Kick Ass Fun Rock N Roll, and probably the best showmanship to ever hit a stage. It didn't matter if you liked them or not, everyone enjoyed their live show.

I have heard Funny Money, and they are okay... sound like a weak Kix. But the Kix reunion is a definate, I talked with Funny Money's soundman about a month ago, and he confirmed that they are working on it for this year. Jimmy Chalfant, the drummer from Kix is actually playing full time with Funny Money as we speak, so it's slowly coming toghether. My understanding is that they intend on writing new material, not just riding the reunion thing out for money.

I was never a fan of KIX. I found their music unispiring & a little bit generic. I think that's what they never broke, then broke up. I will say this, I think their track "Cold Blood" is one of the best tracks that came out of Hard Rock in the 80's. That song alway does it for me. Killer intro, catchy chorus, great lead break, that song has it all.

They were one of those bands that seeing them live made you appreciate them more. I always like the albums but seeing them live sent me over the top. Motley Crue was like that for me. I was not into the albums after Shout At The Devil but would always try to catch them live when they toured because they kicked ass live.
