If you don't already know (not paid to post this) The DC8C is fucking incredible! The absolute best compressor Plugin I've ever used. Part 2 just came out today! There's no Demo's but you can Youtube the Original DC8C and see how massive and flexible it is. I use the DC8C and Kush's Ubk-1 as my Go to comp's for everything. I'll post a Vid soon if I can. Btw the update is free if you have it purchased :)

Very nice! I've been using the old version for quite a while and I haven't ever regretted buying it. Probably one of the smoothest compressors I own. I will have to play around with this new version for a day again to get familiar with the changes. As this is a hard compressor to master, it is worth the time to sit down with it for a while.

Here is a quote from the author about this new version:
"This is a major update and includes many improvements, changes and also a few new features:
-binary name changed to DC8C2.<pluginformat>
-new plugin ID -> version 1.x and 2.x can be used together
-NEW: preset browser
-NEW: a third main operational mode (besides NORMAL and CLEAN) called SMASH for very fast compression action
-NEW: three transfer curve SHAPES now: SOFT, NOSE, SPIKE
-NEW: position of the saturation can be set to pre compression, sidechain only, post compression
-CHANGE: new oversampling: DC8C now clearly benefits from oversampling (and additional processing inside the oversampling)
-CHANGE: reworked saturation modes
-CHANGE: CRUSH style is now based on the new SMASH operational mode
-CHANGE: new GUI
-CHANGE: RANGE control uses a finer resolution for lower settings
-FIX: initialization issues in the VST3 version.

DC8C still costs 20 €.

The update is free for all existing DC8C users.

Some cool stuff in there. I like that v1 and v2 can be used at the same time. I'm always scared of installing major updates to plugins. They have the potential to ruin your old sessions.

Can't agree more, If i'm ever excited about any one plugin it's this one. When I first started recording I bought Uad's SSl bundle which I still own and Waves Cla series comp's. Still use these to this day great plugins, but when I got my hands on the Dc8c i lost my shit. The sound is incredible I bought The Pro Vla ii a few years back and last year i got an API 527. I recently sold both. I'm using a friends Eureka for a "touch" of compression and EQ on the way in and the DC8C all over. Can't recommend it enough

Just tried the free one and it sounds amazing! It does something that I haven't heard any other ITB comp do. Thanks for sharing this!

It's definitely good, you should try the free saturator as well, looking forward to the big version hopefully coming out soon.
