I finally picked up the self titled album from Kobra and the Lotus. I had seen a few videos from them and they caught my interest/curiosity.

I have to say, I am reallllly liking this album. They remind me of a female fronted and slightly less technical Helstar, earlier Helstar. I would actually describe the lead vocalist as a female sounding James Rivera (James in his prime).

On a side note, they seem to be signed to Gene Simmons label Simmons Records, which totally does not seem to fit. They're actually opening up for Kiss/Def Leppard based on this relationship. Strange given the different style, but I'll take it.

Here's a few of the videos:

Great band, saw them with Amaranthe last year..and I'm in the new video

First track is deceptively bland, but this album is actually really good and the singer actually puts a unique spin on things. Really cool!
