Rock FM 91.7 radio host Angie Salazar conducted an interview with KORN members Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (bass) and Ray Luzier (drums) when the band played in Monterrey, Mexico at the end of April. You can now watch the chat below. Speaking about KORN's songwriting process, Fieldy said: "We did it together in the beginning, and then it kind of split off. But in the beginning, we created and got a little foundation going. And then everybody did it separate, I think." Added Ray: "What's weird is we started this new record while we were touring. So it was one of those things where we'd get a break, a chunk of time — a week or two weeks — 'Hey, let's go write some songs.' And then, 'Okay, we're going to Japan for eight days.' 'Okay, we're off for a week.' So we started like that. And then we had to kind of hone in and go, 'Okay, let's take some time off and really focus and concentrate on the record.' So that's what happened. We did everything that way." KORN's twelfth studio album is tentatively due out later this year. The band's guitarist Brian "Head" Welch said in an interview that the material the band has written for its next LP is "heavier than anyone's heard KORN in a long time." KORN recently announced details for the "Nocturnal Underground Tour" where they will share co-headlining duties with BREAKING BENJAMIN and will be joined by special guests MOTIONLESS IN WHITE and SILVER SNAKES. The "Nocturnal Underground" arena tour will kick off on September 24 at Scheels Arena in Fargo, North Dakota, taking KORN deep into the heart of America through late October. On this trek, the band will pass through such markets as Omaha, Cedar Rapids, Charlotte, Biloxi, Tampa, Jacksonville, Tulsa and beyond. In between, KORN will appear at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky on October 2.
