so, bought a pair of v4 mkIIs the other day,
diggin pretty much everything about them - except
for what i think is my installation fault:
when powered on, they get these really loud peaks
whenever i switch on or off my pc - to which
they're connected. do you guys have a solution to
this? gets kinda annoying to reach behind the speakers
all the time. oh and theyre connected to the
balanced outs of my audiophile 192.
kinda lost here, since i know this from amplifiers of
all sorts but why would krks have these problems
with built in components ? do i need to
separate the speakers within another circuit ?
gruce.

my wharfedale do the same thing and there conected to my digi001 i just shut them puppys off before i turn off pc :Smug:

I would love to know also.................

Ill third that. you should never power something up when the speakers are aready on. If its that most trouble to turn em on and off find yourself a cheap 6 channel mixer to mute the speakers when you power up the PC maybe

Basic studio procedure - Start up your monitors last, Turn them off first.

thats what i do. just got me wondering if its normal that those
membranes jumped at me at a painful 300 db with my ears bleeding.
thought i could maybe avoid this without switching them on and off
all the time. but if you say its normal, well some gymnastics are cool.
a little bit of pain never hurt anybody :p
