KROKUS TO CELEBRATE 25 YEARS WITH TWO ALBUMS AND NATIONAL TOUR
THIS SUMMER
European metal favorites Krokus, will celebrate 25 years of great music this summer with the return of vocalist/frontman Mark Storace and with the release of not one, but two new albums. The first release, Fire and Gasoline, is an amazing collection of the band’s greatest hits and more. It was recorded on their last European tour. As part of the European metal onslaught of the late 1970’s and early 1980’s along with Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead etc., Krokus enjoyed substantial success with their hits such as "Screaming In The Night", "Long Stick Goes Boom" and "Stayed Awake All Night". These and other Krokus classics will be included on
Fire and Gasoline which hits the streets on June 29th, 2004.
Also included on the live album is a new song, "Rock The Block" which is the title track from their second release, Rock The Block. This is the band’s first studio album in several years and the first with Mark Storace in even more years. Rock The Block will be released on July 27th, 2004.
Fire and Gasoline and Rock The Block will both be issued by Reality Entertainment. Warren Croyle, (Reality, CEO) said "Both CDs are classics in their own right and should be treated as separate releases. We discussed making a single package, but the band and everyone here at the label felt they were two unique products. I am confident that Krokus fans will appreciate the effort we have put into the quality and packaging."
Krokus plans to tour in support of both these releases later this year.
