Krokus is coming to play a gig in here next month and I know next to nothing about them... should I? Surely some of UMOS' senior citizens have been listening to this band in the 80s.
I think they are worth seeing. Although being a bit of an AC/DC ripp off they were quit a good band in their early days. I think they can put up a hell of a live show with this kind of music !!
I never saw them live, but they are an AC/DC clone band, and a pretty good one at that. Their early albums were real good. I had One Vice at a Time, and Headhunter. Headhunter was my favorite, if only for the song Screaming in the Night, which is one of the best metal ballads ever written!
I think the only remaining member is Marc Storace, so it's not the real band.... I'd see them my self, but probably wouldn't pay more that $15.00 to do so...
one band I never saw in the heyday of the 80's. Loved to hear that bottle being kicked in the alley!!! Headhunter is a great disc but I have no idea what they would sound like now! If you go have fun!

I totally agree about Screaming in the Night. I've always loved that song, but really only realized how great it is over the last 5 years or so.
I'd say it would be a good show. They do have some great songs! Like sixx mentioned though, the fact that only the original singer is there could be a drawback. I'd miss seeing Fernando von Arb, personally.
I used to love than song, but I never developed a follow for the band. Their version of School's Out also failed to impress me.
I remember Fernando Von Arb (or something like it) the guitar player was pretty good considered in the top 50 of Hit Parader magazine back in 1983-84. He used to wear those silly spandex stripped pants so famous at the time (Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Stryper, Quiet Riot, everybody wear them).
Marc sung in the last Warrior album too but didn't click enough to buy it which is sad since I have all the other Warrior albums.

I totally though they were a glam band until a couple weeks ago at Minneapolis Mayhem, where the guys from this band Sacrificial Blood told me otherwise as I was astounded to find out the music I was really enjoying at the bar was Krokus. It was like AC/DC, yes, but with some speedy NWOBHM stylings thrown in. Headhunter is great, King Fowley says they're still worth seeing.
I saw them 2 or 3 years ago in Germany, don't worry they still got the fire burning
If you're into AC/DC and the likes... though they also wrote heavier tunes and more "melodic Swiss rock" songs (ala Gotthard).
