This is nothing like Metal Church. Instead, the music is Kurdt's take on early 70s prog rock! The debut album was recorded entirely on analog!

I've only heard the samples on the site and don't yet have the album (cheesy cover) but do plan on purchasing.

Fans of Porcupine Tree, Ayreon, Anathema and the like - as well as 70s prog - should dig this.

I have one of their songs. It was on the Progpower sampler disc. It is rather heavy on the Hammond organ which is typically not my thing, but that song is pretty good. Kurdt has always been a top-notch songwriter the proof being years of quality material from Metal Church. I will probably order this before too long.

I checked a couple of samples and I downloaded the extra tracks. I must say I'm really impressed.

First the vocals are really good and I mean really, not pretentious at all, clean, melodic and yet energetic. The music is a blend of AOR and classic prog IMO, and quite enjoyable.

Hard-core fans of speed/thrash or more heavy metal sub-genres will probably find this one dull or simply reject it. I find it amusingly refreshing moreover considering Vanderhoof is behind it.

I will got it most probably.

I like this quite a bit. I have listened to most of the tracks and I will be picking it up soon. Very good production and it really catches that 70's prog-rock feel. I think it has alot to do with the album being recorded all analog. I like the singer as well. Way different than MC, but I still like it.
