I have been wanting to get some of that stuff soon, but always forget to check it out... It is female vox right, I am definately partial to female fronted metal bands. What album would you say to start with.
They were absolutely awesome, when I saw them this summer in Wacken. It's a must see band!
The best album is a minicd with 5 songs, it's called Halflife. And they have their first full lenght album out now called Unleashed memories.
Uh... Aethyrs, dude. They already had a full-length, called 'in a reverie'. They've got TWO full length LPs (in a reverie, unleashed memories) and two EP's (lacuna coil, half-life)
Jep - really cool sound!
in a reverie and unleashed memories are worth listening to!
I saw them this may (i think) in Graz, Austria together with In Flames, Nevermore and Dimmu Borgir - nice spectacle
The singer (scabbia) is a small but coooooool girl
havent stopped listening to LAcuna Coil sice I tried unleashed Memories on a whim a few months ago. Ive since bought all their cds and think the Lacuna Coil EP may be my favorite but they all are amazing. And yes, Christina is hot nad Italian!
I just bought Unleashed Memories a few days ago after hearing To Live is to Hide (I hope I got that name right) on one of Century Media's cds. I really like it. Do they ever tour in the US?
Hi people, I'm not new as a reader but new as a writer
Thoughts on Lacuna Coil...ok for Cristina Scabbia, but I cannot understand why the producers want her to be a second Annke Van Giesbergen.. She has a gorgeous voice, live is fantastic (even if nobody knows why they do not play live in their homecountry..) but not _that_ personal...IMHO.
As for "Unleashed memories", I'd go for "In a reverie" or "lacuna Coil" ep much more..... UM is kind of disappointing.... unoriginal and so weak.....
...I think.... The first time I've seen them was on tour with Grip Inc. like 3 years ago. Then this year with Nevermore two nights in a row. I hadn't have any of their CDs before I went to Vienna but the next night I was singing along with Christina... They have melodies that grip you and take you away to a dark but beautiful place where you can dig your thoughts and mostly open up your heart to let your feelings and worries out... Really. I'm totally committed to them ever since!
