This album is FUCKING GREAT! Lamb of God have done it again. I've been a huge fan of theirs ever since their first album New American Gospel. This album takes them to new heights!

I agree. A more polished sound, better production, etc. Next to Slayer, no band communicates raw aggression to a listening audience like LoG in my opinion.

Thanks for the agreement. I appreciate it!

Ashes of the Wake is truly a peice of boring, monotonous shit. This opinion from someone who absolutely loved their two previous albums. Don't buy Ashes of the Wake. Download it first and make sure you need it. It is so lifeless, slow, lethargic...bleugh. I'm surprised it is the same band that created As The Palaces Burn.

I really prefer the intensity of New American Gospel, or their old band Burn the Priest. I do like it slighly better than their last album whose name I already forgot because it was so mediocre.

I dont understand Grimace? . Lamb of God is offering nothing new, many of the songs have similar structures. It becomes monotonous throughout. If I want to hear something different and interesting I am going to listen to New American Gospel or Burn the Priest.

I enjoy the album, its a decent listen thats all. They are a damn good band, but they have become the American death thrash equivalent of The Haunted. Its certaintly not the best musical form of aggression since Slayer, especially as they rip off so many slayer riffs.

I hear nothing even remotely repetetive throughout ATPB. At worst, they could be accused of stealing ideas from other bands, but the structuring and orchestration (thanks mostly to Devin T.) is a hundred times stronger than anything else they've ever done, especially the new one. That album sounded like Lamb Of God, whereas all the rest sounds obviously like a mix of their influences. Recycled Pantera, recycled Slayer, recycled Maiden even. Every song on ATPB was a strong, unique musical concept.

Really I just have to go with what I've always said... Lamb Of God is an amazing band with Townsend as their producer, but they're nothing much to talk about without him.

The last comments were about the new album, which apparently you agree is nothing too original or special.

For the life of me I cant remember the last album all that well. Thus, my calling it mediocre. Ill have to throw it on. I do remember people complaining about hevydevy's production.
