here is a good question. If Lars was still Lars, and James went through everything he did, and Metallica went through everything they went through, yet, remained underground, or barely that (Overkill status), would anyone care what happened? Would this jackass have tried that? Doubtful. How would some of you reacted if that was tried on Scott? Granted, Scott would have kicked his ass in before his "entorage" could have...but still. Being a faithful (yet constantly ridiculed) fan of 'tallica, I will probably be the only one who says that dude is a jackass. Boy, I bet I am going to get flogged for this post......

I won't flog you. You are entitled to like anyone you want. With the exception of Ashley Simpson.
Anyway, to make my point, you are comparing apples to oranges. Lars, like him or not, has done and said some fucked up shit the past few years. Which is why a lot of people are not too fond of him.. Scott says a lot of shit too - but - he is usually open minded and cool about it.
Let me stick to ya this way - I don't like a lot of celebraties, but there are a few that I just can't stand. If this were to happen to one of the regular hated ones, I could not care less. BUT - if someone whipped out the dragon and pissed on, say, Pres Bush, Alec Baldwin, Carrot Top, Lars, Ashley Simpson - then I would get a fucking hoot out of it.

after some afterthough (sic) yeah, he has said some fucked up things, sometimes just to stir shit up, which is Lars. I am torn between my love for the band, and my "why doesnt he shut up!?"ness for Lars. So yeah, it was funny.
