Lars Ulrich Dream Theatere audtion video released...

What about Lars on the old stuff though? I think he played it pretty well! I actually love his style on Ride the Lightning and Masters of Puppets. No he doesn't have a million fills a minute, but that's not Lars style. I I remember when I heard the first time I heard the drums come in on Disposable Heroes, I thought, that's pretty damn cool!!.... I just love his stle on those 2 cds... Not too busy, but keeping a solid metal beat with some powerful tom tom action, and he gets to the point.....

I thought it was pretty funny, especially the trashcan sound during the tryout. All the Metallica guys were dead in my book after the Napster incident. Lars in particular because he couldn't keep his mouth shut. It's helped that all their music has been shit after "IJFA" IMHO.

You ARE kidding right?

I did not know that this video was a joke. However, if it WAS a serious video, I would not be kidding. When Newsted wanted to do something with Echobrain, Hetfield went bonkers and questioned Newsted's loyalty to Metallica in 2001. Well, Newsted ended up leaving Metallica, and Hetfield went into rehab, and nothing was done until 2003.

Now, here is a FOUNDER of Metallica trying out for Dream Theater. Where is Lars' loyalty to Metallica? Now, I was wondering about this BEFORE being informed that the vid was a joke. But, if this video was for real, I wonder what James would be thinking.
