I'm flying to Las Vegas on Wednesday for a one-off show and will be in town Thursday (show)/Friday/Saturday. Except for hotels, casinos and magic shows: is there anything worth doing there?

One thing to keep in mind that they don'ttell you - you can always upgrade from everything. No matter how much you spend there you will never spend enough and you will never be at the top of the VIP list. Not that you would anyway. Point being, there is no point wasting your money to seem cool there because no matter how much you spend there will always be people cooler than you wherever you are.

This depends on several factors, as in what are your interests? gambling, going to a dance-club, sight seeing, dinner, shows, strip-clubs (I have buddies who love doing this for some reason), drugs, etc. Also, there are places where girls over 18 can get into which means the place is infested with young 18 - 21 year olds (horrible experience for me, I felt like an old man being that im in my mid 20s), then there are places that only allow over 21 (which is infested with college kids) then there are the places that I prefer which typically host people in their mid-late 20s. There are so many things to do its crazy. I've been there more than 5x and I still feel like i've barely touched the tip of the iceburg. It also depends if you're going with your lady or buddies. Every experience is different. Every visit is different. But whatever you do, don't do something you can do at home, try something new (one time I went with a group that wanted to play beer pong, at this beer pong place, so we did, the whole time I was thinking, wtf am I doing here, I could be doing this in my garage, waste of a night).
It's kind of cool to check out some of the large hotels, actually. They've got rollercoasters, wild animals, aquariums, indoor gardens, arcades, fountains, etc. There's also some museums (natural history, art galleries, etc.) scattered throughout the city. Some exibits are on display in the hotels, as well. If you're into boating, you can go to Lake Meade and rent a boat. It's about an hour from the strip though. Should be able to find things to do even if you're not into the gambling or club-scene.

Genius: haha, yea, I'm not there to waste money. And I stopped trying to be cooler than other people about 10-12 years ago - which in turn actually seems to have made me cooler than I was back in the day 
Bryan: yea, but that's the same here in Germany - and the day I have to pay for sex is the day I shoot myself
SicRoker: that's the thing, I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for, which is why I was looking for suggestions. I've been doing the regular party stuff for so many years that I'm not really interested in dance clubs or titty bars anymore. Also: we have one of the biggest/most famous red light districts in the world in my hometown and everything is 24/7 there, so that has become the norm for me and not the exception.
