Hey guise!

I'm currently in the process of tone sculpting for my solo project thing!

I discovered Nolly's awesome little DI pack with a backing track so I wanted to try some stuff out.
I compared two tones [with equipment for them listed in the title].

The tone switches back and forth every 4 measures.

I wanted to see what people thought--and see if you guys could figure out which one is which.
So.. whacha think?

alright that sounds nice!
I think the POD Farm Sound is a bit more ''fizzy'', I prefer the LE456. The LE456 has also a more stabile lowend and a bit more punch. (in case it's starting out with the LE456;) )
Which IR did you use for that?

You guys are correct. :P

I had originally started making the tone with POD Farm. I got the basic sound I wanted EQ and gain-wise and then I saw somebody post an awesome LE456 tone on YouTube and decided to try and match the EQ/gain properties with the POD tone I had been making and see how it went.
This is the result, and the LE456 is clearly much more smooth in the high end, although it has a slightly bigger low end [but I think that sounds more "organic" than the POD anyways].

In the POD tone, it's the recto sim into a treadplate with the 67 condenser--or pretty much the standard "sturgis" setup. Haha.

The LE456 is run through this setup in ReCab:
Channel 1 is an Oversize with a Reference mix on axis, miked close with EQ settings to make it brighter.
Channel 2 is an Igor with a 57 off axis, close.

I've been using the le456 a bit lately. Any chance you could share a pic of your settings on that clip?
