The Numetal band(s) that make(s) you crawl...
Like with just about any genre there's always something that
I find myself saying "hey I kinda like what they did there," but here's a list of bands that I just don't get & make me wanna smash things...
System of a Down
Mudvayne
Soulfly
Machine Head
Puddle of Mudd
Orgy
I know there's probably people that will read this & say
"I hate them all," please that's about as "generic" as you can get.
Use the 5 lbs. of grey matter between your ears!

Well, the first one that comes to mind that I just absolutely HATE and cringe every time I am forced to suffer through hearing is NICKELBACK. ( are they numetal? I dunno but I hate 'em) I hate that Chad Kroeger and believe me, sir, "Kicking your ass would be a pleasure". Pure unadulterated hate. I would rather listen to cats mate. Second, I would have to say SLIPKNOT. I just don't get 'em. I have TRIED to like them because I think the masks and costumes are pretty cool....(I think that Mick #7 guy is especially creepy/cool looking...remember, folks, I'm a KISS fan!) I have bought a couple cd's and the dvd thinking I'd catch on...but the music just SUCKS ASS in my opinion. The only song I really get into is People = Shit, but honestly I can never get through the whole cd in one sitting. I pawned off all their stuff that I bought and gave up on them long ago.

System of a down actually started as being a new (not nu) type of armenian hardcore that was pretty good (in my opinion) but I understand that their numetal stuff is well, numetal(sucks)

Anyway, the most hated is Slipknot, because the singer always says he is the best in the world, that they are the hardest working band ever, that they are the heaviest, that they are atop grindcore and death. I mean, If I were them, I would keep my mouth shut about real metal, and they said this in metalmaniacs! And their stupid excuses about their albums sucking, *retarded voice*-"oh, the second album in any band is always garbage, so don't blame us" coughpleasuretokillcough,

- pleasure to kill your arrogant knotted ass losers! sorriest band, really, I mean, at least the other numetal bands keep their mouths shut about metal, arrogant sons of bitches know that their many fans have not discovered death and grindcore.

gotta say durst and his crew take the bizkit for me in terms of shite nu metal.
i'm gonna get flamed here though,go out on a limb and say that i really quite like some of them.there i said it.it wasnt too hard i guess.
linkin park for example.i know their metals answer to a fuckin boy band-put together by a record company to make money, but some of the tunes are v.v.cool.
ill nino, they have a wicked latino beat in some of thier songs-i think they captured it better than sepultura did because they wernt quite so heavy.
disturbed-i like the guys voice, and the fact that he nicks loads of his vocal lines and lyrics from cheezy 80's british pop songs.thats funny.

as for machine head sixx-to be honest thier first album burn my eyes, for me,was one of the best albums of 94.i fuckin loved it.a lot of the stuff they did after really sucked, but that was great.

are we including life of agony as a nu metal band?-if so "river runs red"has got to be one of the best albums ever imo.jesus i didnt realise how much of this stuff i liked.

if it makes anyone happier though,i cant stand korn or slipknot.though i dont mind the singers side project stone sour.

Life Of Agony Nu-Crapple Naw they are Ny Hardcore  theres a Gigantic Differance And yes River Runs Red is fucking amazing its great from start to finish!

I can not really comment on this because I don't know one band from the other.... no joke. I have heard some of these nu metal bands (and didn't like the crap) but I don't watch MTv or listen to top 40 radio (or any radio besides when I'm at work), so (thankfully) I don't have a clue about it. I will say that I have the first System Of A Down disc and liked it but I've not heard them since. Was that nu meteal...... I don't think so. Maybe they are now but the album I have was some very strange and interesting stuff.

I would have to say that all the above listed bands fall into the category of complete suck-ass!

There are a few "things" that I like about a few of them, but not much. I liked the riffs from System Of A Down, and I like the singer from Linkin Park... not the rapper, but the singer, he kind of reminds me of Brad Divens from Wrathchild America... who, by the way is thier F.O.H. engineer.

"nu-metal" DOES NOT EXIST!

I will relentlessly pointing it out in all boards I attend. The proper name for that noise aberration is mallcore. They try to belnd with ourselves using the metal tag and try to sell the kids the notion that they are the next generation (fuck Pepsi!).

Baggy pants, reversed baseball caps, chains on the wallets, pogo dance, goaties, noise and screams. No accomplishment in guitars, drums or bass is not metal..is just ugly noise.

Mallcore is just another music industry mutant created to tary to take over the real metal. Thier groove, funk, ridicule outfits, stupid names and worse music will never dethroned the real metal.

And I'm not talking Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iiron Maiden. Those bands already carved their niche in hisroty and will be remembered 50 years from now, when nobody even be able to spell: System Of A Down, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Godsmack, Rage Against The Machine, Soulfly, Marilyn Mason or any other crap out there (even new Metallica :Puke: )

I'm talking bands like Dream Evil, Seventh One, Misery Inc, Black Steel, Wolf, Majesty, Mesmerize. Bands that carry the banner of true metal onwards.

Nu? Lar$ ass...:bah: Grunge is over, mallcore will fall too.

I turned on the radio, it shocked me, yes it did.
I heard some dolls of media, interesting like a piece of shit
I turned it off and swore an oath, if I'll break it I shall die
I will fight for Metal the rest of my life

If you're playing Rock 'n' Roll, play it without lies.
Always be as brave and proud like an eagle in the sky.
If you want to be remembered, there is one thing you should do
When you play your music (you) gotto KEEP IT TRUE

If you look at the Billboard-Charts, position one to ten.
They change every fucking day, short is every trend!
Now it's time to raise your hands and tell them what we like:
Heavy Metal, loud and wild.

THE CREAM OF THE CRAP: MALLCORE EDITION

Linkin Park
Adema
Korn
Slipknot
Mudvayne
Disturbed
Ill Nino
Machine Head's "The Burning Red" and "Supercharger" albums
Sepultura's "Roots" album

And i don't consider Limp Bizkit mallcore. Not enough rock.

Kid Rock has always had a special hatred in my heart. Why must he drag the name rock through the mud like that? he wouldn't know rock if we all shoved it up his ass.

I nearly just pissed my pants because this made me laugh so hard..couldn't have said it better.

the only ones i'd really disagree with are illnino, who i think are a metal band, and machine head.thier new album is pretty metal-the first track, imperium,is excellent.just my humble opinion
I dunno, Ill Nino does do that "Down-tuned guitars that follow the percussive part of the song more, than standing on it's own and actually playing riffs" thing, which is a trademark in mallcore. And when i mean latter-day Machine Head, i mean The Burning Red and Supercharger.

Interseting that Wicked Child dislikes Disturbed, this is actually the only band out of the pack that I find interesting & a breath of fresh air, but again to each his/her own.
I actually really used to like some Disturbed. I found them very refreshing. The first 3 singles of their debut were cool, but then they got overplayed and got old fast. Then, you got the rest of thae album, that i didn't care for much. I didn't hate it , but i didn't like it either. Then you got their second album, "Believe", which i HATED! I really couldn't stand it a bit.

Wow, I thought their Believe record was a step away from the the pack. It's very different than their debut, which like you said, has it's moments, but isn't spectacular. They are threatening to release a "metal" record next, which I hope is true, after "Believe" a "metal" record would be the natural progression.
