Leather Leone...Underated Female Vocalist

While not a huge name by no means, but many of us old schooler's know her, mainly for her work with Chastain. She still is active today, although I have not heard any of her newer material.

I am not sure why she never made it huge. I think the band Chastain was from the mid-west in the beginning, so maybe that prevented the proper advertising and radio play (?), or the fact that she was a woman (?). At the time the number of female metal singers were few and far between.

Anyway...I am curious as to what others think of Leone. I think she has an amazing voice.

I really do like her voice. Even though Chastain never have been one of my overall favourite bands, I still go back to listening to their first four albums every once in a while and enjoy it when doing so, not only, but also because of Leather Leone's vocals. She does have a great voice.

She was like a female Dio almost, good singer with a strong voice, though Chastain's songwriting was a bit inconsistent. Never heard any of her solo stuff though.

Same here. I do think their sound is a bit like Shok Paris who were another mid-west u.s. band (and a much better band overall). I haven't researched it but I would be interested to know if there were links between the two bands production-wise.

Saw her play with Chastain a few years back in Chicago. She definitely kicks ass. And she's still super hot <3
