According to NME.com, LED ZEPPELIN's Jimmy Page was honored with a special one-off award, the Rock'N'Roll Soul Award, at the NME Awards 2015 in Austin, Texas. The ceremony took place earlier today (Wednesday, February 18) at London, England's O2 Academy Brixton. Video footage of Page's acceptance speech can be seen below. NME editor Mike Williams said: "This special, one-off award has been created to reflect one of the most important and iconic figures to have ever picked up an instrument. There is nobody in popular culture quite like Jimmy Page, and we are honored to be giving him the Rock'N'Roll Soul Award at this year's ceremony." Coming on March 6 will be Page's four-disc box set, "Sound Tracks", featuring his scores for the "Lucifer Rising" and "Death Wish II" movies along with additional archival material for the first time. JimmyPage.com posted the new discs "Lucifer Rising: The Second Coming" and "Death Wish II: Expansion" which include rare, never-before-heard tracks. Page said of the outtakes, "The archive material and work included here serve as an illustration of the ongoing process at the time of these two projects." "Sound Tracks" features an all-new booklet containing a written track-by-track insight by Page for the archive material "amidst a stunning collection of original artwork across 36 pages. The booklet and quadruple vinyls in four individual black sleeves are housed within a soft-touch matt black presentation box." Fans can pre-order three different versions of "Sound Tracks": The Four-CD Edition, the Four-LP Vinyl Edition, and the Signed Deluxe Edition.
