I only just recently, over the last year or so, really delved into the Jeff Beck catalog. I quickly realized how amazing Jeff Beck really was. He never stagnated, always changing and remaking himself....a master chameleon of guitar. Where most of his guitar contemporaries settled into a rut, almost to the point of being dated or "boring", Jeff seemed to constantly push himself into new ground and always sounded fresh....inspired. Maybe it was because he didn't try to please the crowd, doing exactly what HE wanted to do for himself artistically.
