Former JUDAS PRIEST Drummer LES BINKS Dead At 73
"...James Leslie Binks, who played drums for Judas Priest from 1977 to 1979, has passed away at the age of 73.
Binks, who appeared on two Priest studio albums, both released in 1978 – Stained Class, and Killing Machine (also known as Hell Bent For Leather) and the band’s legendary live album, Unleashed In The East – died on March 15, 2025.
In 2022, Binks was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Judas Priest via the Award for Musical Excellence. Binks played a three-song set with Judas Priest at their Rock and Roll Fall of Fame induction ceremony on November 5, 2022, marking his first appearance with the band in 43 years.
