I'm not a fan of them, but this is worth watching (, so make sure you do!).

I didn't watch it yet--was it the singer's antics? I thought he was honest-to-goodness retarded, like, literally developmentally disabled, for quite some time. I do think they have some pretty good songs, which just impressed me even more that he could sing through the waves of Down's or whatever.

It must be depressing for the singer, to perform for mtv, in front of a crowd of smiling/screaming idiots (in reference to another live performance by the vines that I saw today. It reminds me very much of Radiohead's performance of Creep at an American pool party.

and yes, it was just the singer screaming randomly, falling over and playing the second verse -in what seemed to be- one semitone out.

He looked seriously fucked.

I too thought he had the downs for quite some time. I bet if he had the three stooges haircut he would totally look like a downy.
