That rider isn't that bad. I saw the rider from Lou Gramm (singer of Foriegner). He demanded all of the above, except it even specified a certain size bag of M&Ms, cheese trays, water bottle requirements etc.

By the way, I've accidentally drank some Red Bulls from Lynyrd Skynyrd's rider. The unfortunate thing is, there was a good bunch of other thirsty stagehands who did the same thing, so the redneck rock veterans weren't all that pleased. Not our fault, though, since someone had thought it'd be a good idea to leave the band's beverages among the local crew's water bottles and the catering people happily told us to help ourselves Now that I think of it, the beer cans did seem a bit suspicious in the local crew's refreshments...

That guy was the most stereotypical "rockstar" asshole I've ever met Totally delusional.

Only part that I found a bit of an overkill was the police escort and 5 star hotel mandatory requirements, but otherwise it was pretty reasonable in my opinion. One thing I found weird was that there was no beer or specific food asked in the rider.
