Anybody check out this tour? Lillian Axe is one of the best bands still rocking from the pop metal days, though their later stuff is more serious .

One of my absolute favorite bands of all time. Even with all the crazy lineup changes, they have remained solid throughout. I'd LOVE to see them back around these parts, but doesn't look like it will be anytime soon.

I really, really liked LA when Ron was still in the band. Psychoschezophrenia is a top ten album of all time for me. I haven't liked anything since. However, Ron Taylor released an album last year with a band called Lowside. It's more of a modern sound leaning towards a Sevendust kind of sound but obviously with a better singer. I can't detect a keyboard anywhere in their material, just a few acoustic parts scattered throughout. It sounds pretty good, but a bit samey between tracks. I can't find full samples that aren't live, but here's the link to check Amazon 30-second samples to get a taste. Listening to it again, I might just push the buy button tonight...

Psychoschizophrenia is the only album of them I like. I tried the other ones, and was never able to get into them.

Love+War is one of my favorites from those days. I wouldn't mind seeing them, but have missed them a few times on tour.

I saw Lillian Axe in 2007, I think. It was the tour for their 1st (and only) album on Locomotive. Rising Waters or something like that. They were awesome. Gene Barnett, their old drummer and former Dirty Looks drummer, used to come into the record store I worked at from 2003-2008. He was a good dude. Can't remember who he was playing with at the time, but it wasn't Lillian Axe. Wish I would've known about this tour sooner, and if there was a date in my area. Would be cool to see them again!

Lillian Axe is one of my all-time favorite bands, even through all of the lineup changes. Steve Blaze is a great guitarist and songwriter (and a hell of a nice guy, too).

Saw them on Sunday night in NYC and they rocked despite numerous technical issues (the venue they played seems to be new to live shows and really needs to get their act together if they want to book more than the local bands who are just starting out).

Saw them for the first time at Axis in Boston in 1992 and haven't missed a tour since. Highly recommend checking them out if you have the chance...

Not digging the singer in those clips at all. Huge old school Lillian Axe fan here. I used to blast MISERY LOVE COMPANY on a daily basis, and of course went nuts when "Love and War" came out.

I passed on their show here last weekend. I dig the band's albums in a big way, but without the original singer a lot of the charm is lost.

I am almost in the same boat. I love Psychoschezophrenia and like the stuff prior. After that it is less enjoyable. It is weird the newer albums are not bad at all. I listen to them and they sound like quality music, they don't grab me the way the older stuff did. It is the exact way i feel about the last couple of Evergrey albums.
