Line 6 Pocket Pod Distortion

It's ok, but it's a bit dated sounding though. There are better options that are a lot more current sounding than the Pocket POD.

Also drums sound pretty fake and programmed :-D

yeah drums are fake, what other options are you talkin bout? other than micing up an amp..

since when is "dated" a bad thing? if you were into the tone you'd probably be calling it old school, right? lol but you're right, its probably too old school sounding for this genre. might be more suited for black metal

but yea the snare sounds fake when you do anything faster than a 16th note. it just sounds like you're using one velocity hit for everything. cymbals need some humanization too. the kick is fine to me

yeah i know the drums need to be done properly, was more of a test to see what the distortion would sound like as I've only just started using higher quality distortion, interesting you say the kick is fine, appreciate the comments. Anyone know of any good settings for the POD? something like killswitch or nevermore would be ideal.

Ha, you're right. Dated isn't always bad, but for this particular genre a more current solution would be better suited :-P
