Linking Digi 003s; Is it possible?

Hey guys,
I'm in the process of tracking drums for a band, and we need more than the 8 inputs that my Digi 003R+ has, so I borrowed another Digi003R from a co-worker. I've been trying with no success to link the two together via ADAT optical. Is it even possible? Maybe that's a silly question, but I need to figure this out ASAP. Thanks in advance.

I looked for any info in the online manual, didn't see anything relating to the subject really.

It is not possible.

Nope. The 002 can be used in standalone mode via ADAT, because I do this with my 002 and a Profire. But I've seen reports online at Gearslutz that say the 003 cannot be used this way.

Thanks for setting the record straight guys. I went and grabbed a used Presonus Digimax FS last night, already got it synced and working. Took no time at all. Sounds pretty clean too!
