LIONIZE, the first independent artist to sign with Weathermaker Music(the label that has, up until now, served as the exclusive platform for CLUTCH and individual band member related side projects), has set a February 18 release date for its new album, "Jetpack Soundtrack". The CD features 11 new tracks that were jointly produced by CLUTCH drummer Jean-Paul Gaster and Machine (LAMB OF GOD, KING CRIMSON) at the Machine Shop in Belleville, New Jersey. Starting today, "Jetpack Soundtrack" is available for pre-order here. The album is available in LP (limited edition pressing of 1,000), CD and digital formats. Several fan friendly pre-order bundles are available. "Reality Check" is the first single from the album. It's a showcase of LIONIZE's precise musicianship, smoothly shifting through the gears and coming out the back end at an exhilarating pace. Its gargantuan hook comes at you with an unexpected velocity. The lyric video for the first single from "Jetpack Soundtrack", created by Agent Ogden (CLUTCH's "Live At The 9:30" and "Full Fathom Five" DVDs) can be viewed below. LIONIZE will hit the road in support of the new album beginning January 10 for a string of headline dates before joining up as direct support for PEPPER. These dates begin January 16 in Agoura Hills, California and run through February 6 in Santa Ana, California. Following the dates with PEPPER, LIONIZE will play another run of headline shows beginning February 7 in Las Vegas and wrapping up on Valentine's Day February 14 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Maryland-based band formed in 2004, learning to play music by jamming and listening really listening to each other. But now, ten years later, the band has matured into a much more powerful, tight unit. LIONIZE still hammer out most songs in the studio and rehearsal room from the basic spark of an idea. "Jetpack Soundtrack", their fifth album and first for the Weathermaker Music label, is no different.
