Saw her new video on Music Max last night and was surprised at how much the song, "Lights Out", rocked. Sorta like the stuff Sheryl Crowe does but heavier and rockier. Was cool!

Anyone else heard the song yet?

I just listened to it, and no, it doesn't do all that much for me. But then, either does Sheryl Crow.

She can sing OK though.

Lisa Marie's album was apparently produced by one Eric Rosse, who worked with Tori Amos on her first two records. They were also an item for quite a while, and she wrote the songs on Boys For Pele (1996) in the aftermath of their breakup. Explains why that one is such a miserable, angry and damn fine album to put on when you're in the right mood. Which I am, with alarming frequency .

I'd still rather listen to her than Slayer . Have you ever heard a harpsichord on a Slayer album? Do they even know what a harpsichord is?

Guess not. They'd probably have to calm down a bit if they used one. The chorus of Disciple would turn into something like "God isn't terribly fond of us at all, is he?"
