OK Skyclad started as a speed metal band (with some folk melodies), but that changed in their second album .. album after album - the folk elements were gaining more ground in their EXTRAORDINARY music, but their music remained guitar oriented, and they kicked great ass etc etc . Martin sang in ALL their albums .. except the last one which is divine as always. Great rythms, AMAZING MELODIES, characteristic vocals and a SUPERBE FEELING
BEST ALBUMS: Irrational Anthems, Wayward Sons Of Mother Earth, Prince OF The Poverty Line.
One of the top 10 90s bands . Also their lyrics rule you all. Pure poetry, unique like few.

SkyClad are great. I got into them after hearing Elven King and someone said these guys were better. No one is better than Elven King when it comes to Folk metal, but Skyclad is still good.
You guys heard Suidakra? Its like Folk Mellow Death, unlike Skyclad, which is folk powermetal. So Suidakra are playing the perfect generic fusion (IMO)

Btw, "A Semblance..." is imho one of their best albums so far - the vocals are a bit folksier but the music's more heavy and a bit more experimental than on their last albums... perfect folkmetal I'd say
