Dudes, I'm in my base at the northern border, believe me, there's nothing like that. Should've been on my vacation this week... But I figure that the problem with terrorists is that they are highly inconciderate when it comes to one's personal plans. And so I'm at my 3rd week at base right now.
We had some mortar bombardment a few days ago, shrapnel hit the wall where i was sitting and smoking a cigarette minutes earlier.
Despite the fact that I can't wait to get home already, just like everybody else who remain at base, I'm doing my best to stay patient and to hang on.
The same I wish to all of you here who share this burdain - BE STRONG, DO NOT BE AFRAID. WE WILL BREAK THROUGH. Just watch your backs. The rest is up to fate.
Btw, the incident with the tankist kidnapping 3 weeks ago occured in the very armor batallion I used to serve in, as I found out some days later.
I guess that having that cd-player around helps greatly.
Playing since the beginning of war: Pain of Salvation - The Perfect Element, Pink Floyd - The Darkside of The Moon (or the equivalent Dream Theater bootleg), Orphaned Land - Mabool (didn't listen to it for 4 months or so... but this record gives hope nonetheless....)
You people also might wonder how come am I posting from base? Well, I got sick of bomb shelters and dropped by to my commander's office.

Avi- it is so weird to see all the news. These places I walked, some of them are being bombed. I had such good hopes for israel after the quiet of the past years. I hope that the sloution will come, or a cease fire at the very least.
