Was anyone else unlucky enough to have to watch this on Channel 9? I don't know who put the package together for them, but they seriously had no idea. They had Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Velvet Revolver, Motley Crue, Audioslave, The Cure, Green Day and a ton a of others to choose from, and they showed Brian Wilson doing a horrible version of "GOod Vibrations" and Craig David and Tina Arena butchering "Come Together". Even Good Charlotte would have been better than that.

I tried to watch it on FOX on sat nite but was to pissed to stay awake woke up at 4.30 in the recliner , finished me pint of burbon and stubbled into bed .............

I watched some of it on Foxtel - didn't bother at all with the Channel 9 coverage because I knew it would be a dog's breakfast. Didn't see too much because most of it was on throughout Saturday night and Sunday morning, but I did see Motley Crue and Pink Floyd, and I was happy with that.

I also finally realised just how annoying Maroon 8's singer's voice really is. Answer: extremely.

The only good thing about the 9 coverage was Pink Floyd, fuck those blokes looked comfortable on stage together. I will wait for the DVD to come to the Video store and hire it out

Ima buy the DVD for sure. Pink Floyd went off their TITS. And I wanna see Motley and Bon Jovi and shitload of others in action as well. Hopefully they'll have performances from all the concerts on the DVD.

 No actually I'm not, though I do feel a bit gyped because of the way Nine advertised it by throwing up a tease list of artists that were playing the event, and then not showing any of them. It's worse than the way Ten completely misrepresents upcoming episodes of their shows through clever editing (for example, did anyone see SVU last week? The ads for it suggested that Stabler's son was a suspect in a murder, and he wasn't! He wasn't even involved in any way.). I just can't believe how a major network could drop the ball so badly on this one. I was at the Ninemsn boards earlier and no one had a single good thing to say about their handling of Live 8.

That misleading advertising pisses me off too. It's on *every* show on *every* channel. 7 does it for Lost, The Amazing Race and Desperate Housewives, 10 does it for House, and did it for Medium, and I'm not sure I watch anything on channel 9 anymore.

What time were Floyd and Crue on with the Foxtel broadcast? I watched a bit of it but I just got sick of all the crap so I went to bed.
