Live drums recording

Another band came over today to do some recording. The drums sounded pretty good for this session. Carefully tuned each one, deep metal snare setup pretty tight. It will cut through the mix. We are going to trigger and augment the kick using the synth, probably add a meatier snare too. I need to get my hands on a good kick mic (EV PL Series?) be nice to have it all "analog".

Scratch guitar tracks via line6 amps didn't sound too bad either. RME FF800 into reaper. MXL and PV/EV mics

Rad stuff man! You should think about putting a blanket over that kick drum esp if you gonna sample the kick. Try got as much of the kick bleed out of your other mics (Overheads especially)
