Lonesummer - “What we were” (demo CD 2009)
7828148-294.jpg

The debut of Lonesummer is this nice little demo CD packaged in a 7” gatefold jacket. “What we were” is a strange compendium of ethereal noisepop and raw black metal spread along 25 minutes and 8 tracks of discordant experimentation. 100 specimens are available, many of which have already moved within the first two days alone. $2 (see STS official site for ordering info).

Craven Idol- “Recrucify” (demo cassette 2009)
7407723-21f.JPG

The first tape of England’s Craven Idol (featuring members of Scythian) is a quite pleasant one, with plenty of beautiful thrashing hooks and friendly maniac vocals layered over a tranquil speed metal aesthetic. Features a solid cover of Poison’s “Slaves of the crucifix”. 100 specimens were collected, of which only a handful now remain. $2 (see STS official site for ordering info).

Onisund - “Rigma ana ersetim” (demo CD 2009)

Onisund, definitely not for headbangers, will probably find more of a target with fans of minimalist space-music and noise spontaneity. “Rigma ana ersetim” comes packaged in a full color 7” gatefold jacket @ 100 collected specimens only. $2 (see STS official site for ordering info).

-Velvet Cacoon’s new album“P aa opal poere PR. 33” will be transmitted in the next month or two…. Or so we hope- Main VC antagonist Josh is currently missing in action; we suspect either foul play or a massive overdose on ether. “Marylux”, a sample from the album, can be heard here:

-Both the EP and debut album from Roba El Khaliyeh will be released shortly on Starlight Temple Society. Roba El Khaliyeh mixes classical and symphonic based influences reminding one of the works of famed composer Basil Poledouris, with the atmospheric stylings of metal bands like Rotting Christ, Tiamat and Samael. The result is an exotic, massive new sound rich with complexity, and covering a broad spectrum of dark & emotive music.

-Akhlys’ debut “Supplication” will emerge within the next couple of weeks. This project is the new working of Naas Alcameth (Nightbringer, Temple Of Not), and is meant to be a direct channel to the dead. More details and samples will be forthcoming.

-The long overdue debut album of Temple Of Not will finally materialize in a public form within the next few months. “N.O.T.” was initially shelved due to the temporary closure of Starlight Temple Society, but the goal to release this seething masterpiece had never been lost. “N.O.T.” contains probably the most evil ambient music ever recorded; a far more sinister and methodical style than showcased on the Temple Of Not / Nightbringer split LP. Prepare for the coming storm.
