Hello

I'm experimenting seriously for my future perso project (I don't have time for a full band) that I call "Inherit". I wrote that sort of prog song (it's a little long and with many parts). I recorded it and now I'm mixing it.

For the moment I'm not 100% happy, there is something with the disto guitars in relation to the rest that is not so awesome. Maybe the bass ? The overall thing is not so balanced.

It's all my Dean DI reamped by Goddamn Guitar, I guess an ENGL :loco:. Bass is my LTD B50 through Ampeg split in 2 tracks. Drums are full SSD3.0 (I should use my S2.0 but I wanted to give it a try) + an electronic kit at some times. So basically only drums and synths are programmed. The acoustic guitar is a good takamine from a friend through its preamp rendered through a podfarm clean amp if I remember well. Not so great but it's okay here. I also sing and it's the first time I record myself singind so please tell me if that is too horrible  . This is not supposed to sound lead and full body singing here. In the chorus the voice would not be mixed so spatially but I wanna rerecord it, cause I sucked too much :)

No mastering.

Here is the extract, will post longer section next time :

Thanks I'll post more of the song later, it's around 6mn long. I've been working on it a lot :)

On the electronic kit in the clean part I plan on processing it a bit more, maybe distortion, something artificial. It's a bit rough there yeah but I cannot edit the velocity : it's all based on famous kits like the roland, akai etc drum modules :) For the moment I just need some external opinion on the ground of the mix, the basic drums/bass/guitars/vocals balance and glue.
