Yup, yours truly got himself a drum machine. Its only a matter of time before I become a rich and famous one man band! Of course that time could end up to be 20 or 30 years from now, but who's counting? For the time being I am just at the "annoying everyone within 50' of my house" stage, as it didn't come with an instruction manual (its a Boss 550 MKII that I paid $30 for from ebay, so I ain't gonna bitch) and the manual I downloaded off the net is a little dodgy. Man, I can't wait to recreate the theme song to "Miami Vice".....wonder if they have drum tabs for that?

Okay, just kidding. It will be an invaluable tool for you to use to really get a great sense of your guitar, bass, and or keyboard playing, plus kind of get an idea of what a drummer does for the band. Of course, I just like pounding on the drums and the longer I pound on 'em, the better I seem to be getting. The drums are helping me with my guitar and bass rythym playing also.

I have wanted one for a long time just for those reasons! I was thinking of getting a drum kit, but I really don't have the room. My Digitech effects pedal has some drum loops, but they are kinda boring. This is so much better to work with, even though it ain't top 'o the line. Now all I need to come up with is some small amount of musical ability!

You know, that would make a good super hero/villan name. Get him some spandex, a mask, a cape, a logo, and a membership to Gold's Gym, pronto! He could just show up out of the blue and tear the holy hell out of stuff. Maybe have to change his name to the "Blind Berzerker" just to jazz it up a bit......
