No, they teach you techniques and how to practice effectively, there's nothing to stop you altering or changing anything the DVD teaches you.

Dear god, Jeff Loomis is just fucking unreal. His technique is so controlled and so precise.

The only downside is this: I wish they would have shown more Nevermore stuff. But what can you do?
