LSO's Trumpeteer Maurice Murphy Dies

Maurice Murphy, the London Symphony Orchestra's former principal trumpeteer, has passed away at the age of 75. Murphy was the First Trumpet in all the John Williams scores recorded with the LSO: the six Star Wars films, The Fury, Superman, Dracula, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Monsignor and Williams' three Harry Potter scores.
