LTD kirk Hammet 602

If you don't like Kirk don't buy his signature guitar, you are going to look like a fanboy :D

seriously it's a very good guitar, I don't think it matters if you like him or not, If I didn't like Vai I would still buy the Jem if I could afford it, its a great guitar, so is the KH for the price. If you want it, go for it! :hotjump:

Piece of shit guitar. I hate metallica. If your going to spend 900 dollars on a guitar get a Nice Ibanez and but some Dimarizo pick ups on it, Or save 400 more for the Jem?

That price is too much for ANY LTD!!!

Save up a bit more and get a standard series ESP MII.

If you want to stay in that price range, look at Ibanez, Jackson/Charvel, or Carvin (Custom made to your specs :)). Don't make me get on the pulpit.

Oh, I just looked at the pic...reminds me alot of my LTD M-1000.

If you get it, you can expect shotty fretwork and odd tones as Zaxx said. Mine also has the inconvenience of a painted neck. Thank you LTD.
Why not just get a Daewoo?

Looks like a decent guitar. I also have the M-1000 and it appears to be the same thing except an extra volume knob, which makes it slightly better in my book.

To you guys saying it's a piece of shit.... come on... ORIGINAL floyd (not the licensed bullshit), dual 81s, NECK THROUGH, maple body... most guitars cost 1400 at least for the same stuff.

I have the M-1000... Good pickups, and probably the best floating trem you can get, but that doesn't make it a good guitar. The workmanship is just sub-standard, especially when you compare to a standard series ESP. The neck profile of the M-1000 doesn't match the floyd either.

I have purchased $200 crap guitars that have better fretwork than my M-1000. Sure it can be good, if you want to refinish the neck, have all the frets leveled and dressed, and get shims put under the saddles to match the neck profile. By then you might as well just by the real DEAL!!! I ignored everyone who said not to buy LTD and just to save for the real thing...now I wish I had listened. Instead I just have another guitar that is not getting played, wasting space.

Haha, I actually did have to get the frets leveled on the M1000. They were pretty fucked up. What do you mean though that the neck profile doesn't match the floyd?

I think he was talking about the locknut radius and floyd saddle height not matching the fretboard radius. I believe newer ones don't have this particular design flaw.

Soulshred you should find one of those hanging on a wall somewhere and pick it up to see if it feels right. No Matter how cool you think it is, etc-if it feels like crap in your hands, it will not matter.

Exactly what MetalChef said, you should be able to find this one at GC or whatever. Go play it for a couple hours and see what you think.

And Bstrd, Zax is correct about the saddle heights not matching the fretboard radius. For example...try to lower the action and the two E's will buzz bigtime, but the strings in the middle will still be high above the frets. Do you have paint on the back of the neck too like mine? God, that is the worst thing ever. That would've been a deal breaker, but I was stupid and bought it online without playing or even looking at it first. Never again..except for Carvin :D Don't get me started.

TSR, I just wanna clear something up: I was not being correct about the saddle heights not matching the fretboard radius. I was being correct about what your troubles with it were being. It's not a big deal and I know you didn't do it intentionally, but it looked a bit as if you put words in my mouth to support your point.

BTW, I'm being totally inadequate now, our soccer team deserves to die.
