Lucubro is a band that hails from Massachusetts, lead by singer & guitarist Krista Van Guilder, the power trio tear through your speakers like a buzzsaw gone astray. The rhythm section is tight and the main riffs are memorable & crunchy. Lucubro sounds more like a five member gang than threesome, they bring it people. Kristia’s vocals fall somewhere between the melodic stylings of the late Drain S.T.H, but there’s hints of power metal & also death metal influence. The band is excels in capturing what they are about onto disc. What you get is a demonic force that drops you into the depths of hell & then pulls you from the flames to witness some of the most "heavenly" and yet "pure evil" vocals, that I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. I highly recommend this band to fans of metal on the heavier side & also for fans of power metal, there’s something going on this recording for everyone.
