I have been listening to the new Lullacry record on and off for the last week or so, anyone here a fan? It's "poppy" there's some great choruses on there that you can't get out of your skull...

I've not heard their music, but have always heard mixed reviews: "poor man's Lacuna Coil", etc.
I guess the question is this: where do they rank next to other female fronted bands and against other Finish bands (Sentenced, Amorphis, etc)?

When I saw them live a few years ago they didn't sound like Lacuna Coil at all, they sounded nothing like gothic metal actually. More like a female-fronted heavy rock band, and they even covered WASP's "Love Machine".
I don't know what's up with them now though...

They are more "rock" oriented, but have a modern spin to them, keyboard heavy at times...catchy, sappy choruses, melodic, ect.
I can see them being marketed to the legions of Lacuna fans....
