MÖTLEY CRÜE guitarist Mick Mars makes a guest appearance in the song "The Way I'm Wired" from BLACK SMOKE TRIGGER, a four-piece hard rock band from New Zealand. The track can be found on BLACK SMOKE TRIGGER's recently released EP, "Set It Off", which was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Michael Wagener (OZZY OSBOURNE, ACCEPT, WARRANT, SKID ROW) at WireWorld Studio in Nashville, Tennessee. BLACK SMOKE TRIGGER takes influences from legendary acts such as ALICE IN CHAINS and GUNS N' ROSES and mixes in its own style. The band's debut single, "Caught In The Undertow", was released in August. This past September, Mars told Billboard that he hoped to release his solo album in early 2020. The effort is being recorded in Nashville, where Mars has lived for about six years, with Wagener at Blackbird Studio. Back in 2016, Mars released snippets of two solo songs, apparently called "Gimme Blood" and "Shake The Cage". The tracks, which were recorded at Blackbird Studio, featured singer John Corabi, who appeared on CRÜE's 1994 self-titled album. Corabi later said that he didn't contribute to the writing process for the two songs, but that he was open to collaborating with Mars on some brand new material. Last week, MÖTLEY CRÜE announced that it was reuniting less than four years after completing what was billed as the band's final tour.
