Tommy Lee says that he got into an altercation with his 21-year-old son Brandon that left the MÖTLEY CRUE drummer with a bloody lip. TMZ reported that Brandon allegedly punched Tommy in the face in the musician's home while defending himself during a drunken brawl, but Lee disputed that account, tweeting: "My fiancée and I were in bed when my son busted into the room and assaulted me. I asked him to leave the house and he knocked me unconscious. He ran away from the police. THAT'S the truth." The 55-year-old drummer posted a photo of his bloodied, swollen lip on Instagram, but later deleted the picture. "My heart is broken. You can give your kids everything they could ever want in their entire lives and they can still turn against you," Lee captioned the photo. According to People, officers of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to an incident at Lee's Calabasas, California, home on Monday evening. Tommy was transported to the hospital that same night. No arrest has yet been made in the incident, but Brandon has been named a person of interest in the ongoing investigation and has been cooperating with the police. Brandon is one of the two children Tommy had with Pam Anderson, along with 20-year-old Dylan. Tommy is currently engaged to Vine star Brittany Furlan, 31, who tweeted after the incident: "Violence is NEVER the answer. No matter the situation. People need to learn to talk things out, not throw punches. It's not necessary and doesn't solve anything." Over the weekend, Anderson spoke about her own domestic abuse at the hands of Tommy Lee. During an appearance on Piers Morgan's morning show, Anderson recalled Lee's 1998 arrest for spousal battery, for which he pleaded no contest and spent six months in prison. In response to Anderson's interview, Lee tweeted: "Think she'd find something new to discuss instead of rehashing old shit but I guess she has nothing else going on & needs attention. Signed, 'The Abuser' (who she texts everyday & asks for me back)." According to TMZ, it was Lee's tweet attacking Anderson that caused the argument between him and his son.

Hey @TMZ maybe get your facts straight before you go reporting bullshit. My fiancé and I were in bed when my son busted into the room and assaulted me. I asked him to leave the house and he knocked me unconscious. He ran away from the police. THAT’S the truth.
