I just want to plug our colleague Thor Wanzek's magazine here, which is probably the most profound you can get from Germany in terms of metal coverage with a difference. The magazine is in German, but you can find a lot of its content in English on their website www.trollmusic.net.

I have not read anything else so far which displays a certain humor towards (black) metal without covering the enthusiasm for it - especially in Germany, where the "scene" is so tight-fisted, although their musical substance is, with a few exceptions, rather nil.
