last night i saw Mad Bomber Society at Red's with three opening bands. it was a really fun and high energy concert. the punk/hardcore culture attendence was high, which doesn't really work into the natural fanbase of a ska band like MBS.....at least that's how i see it. then again, the first opener was a punk-groove band, the second a hardcore group (the highlight of their set having to be one band member doing stage gymnastics and mistakingly kicking another band member in the head,) and the third an adventurous rockabilly deal. so i guess in the end it was totally eclectic and worth the ten dollars i paid. it was also cool when MBS's saxaphone player had a rather rectal adventure during a solo via a beer bottle inserted by their trumpet guy and hearing the sax shoot up a couple octaves. i'm going to see them again on friday, when they open for Fishbone.

going to in flames/slayer on tuesday

ok back to drinking
