Mad props to Trent!!

I didn't watch the Oscars, but was Daft Punk nominated for Tron's score? Or was that later in the year and will be up for award next year? (I forget the timeframe on when the cutoff dates are)

Either way, I wasn't impressed by the Trent/Atticus score for the social network tbh.

FYI: Reznor & Ross are going to score "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" remake by the same director, David Fincher.

So, in other words, they are going to team-up again to write an even worse soundtrack for an even worse movie?

Sad thing is, it will probably beat Hans Zimmer and Daft Punk for an Oscar / Grammy next year. :loco: All these awards are jokes.

Tron was eligible for nomination but it didn't get one in this category. Inception's soundtrack was nominated though which was infinitely better soundtrack than social network's.

yes, I thought Hans should have won but I really like Trent's take on music and the industry in general. I was kinda disappointed that Daft Punk wasn't even nominated for best score but they did get a nod for sound editing.

But seriously, check out how genius Hans is:

Thankfully Inception won Sound Editing, Best Mixing and Cinematography. Since I saw the movie the album has been playing nonstop. A very dynamic album with very moving themes. I love it, it's definitely one of my favorite albums of 2010.
An interesting note is that the whole album almost hits the zero spot on with the k-12 system (RMS -15.5), I wonder if that was intentional?
