Madder Mortem

They fucking rule, there is an obvious Korn influence in the songs, but who cares when the music is so great? Deadlands is their best. One of the only female fronted metal bands that i give two shits about...impressive vocals, tight riffs, heavy and dark at the same without being super theatrical or cliche.

Yeh great music all round. I loved their dark broody sounding debut but their new groovy stuff is pretty cool.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly right there! Wicked!:kickass:

+100...
Except Desiderata being my favourite album.
I love their sound.

awesome band, surely one of my top 5 bands at the moment. i know them since their first album in 1999 and they never disappointed me. Desiderata is my favourite album. songs like 'The Flood To Come' or 'Hangman' rule. imo from all female-fronted metal-bands Agnete has by far the best vocals

I've always liked what I've heard of them, I probably should get to know them more... but you know, there's so many bands and so little time....

I like Mercury the best...

I never seem to choose Deadlands when I want to listen to them so I would put that as their worst... Is this one very Korn like?

^When the hell did i say that?

btw, before posting puke smileys and shit some of you should know that i'm not talking out of my fucking ass. The Guys in Madder Mortem ARE Korn fans, want it or not, listen to ''necropolit'' or ''m for malice'' and you will know what i mean. Go to their website or read interviews with the band if you need proof, kthnx.

There is definitely a Korn influence in the riffing, but how does this make the music bad? I think they use it to good effect, and besides, it's only one element in their sound, which I think is wholly unique. Does Agnete remind anyone else of Grace Slick at times?
