Hello all,

Thought I would drop by with an update on Magnitude 9. Writing has begun on new material for the next CD. So far the songs have a heavier edge than "Decoding the Soul" but are still very melodic. No completion date has been set yet.

Also in other news, writing and recording continues for the new Section 16 CD. Section 16 features both Corey Brown (vocals) and Ian Ringler (bass) from Magnitude 9. The newer Section 16 material has a melodic and guitar oriented sound reminsisant of Queensryche and King's X.

Here are two of the new songs available to listen/download:

Thanks,

Thank you for your response and for taking the time to check out the Section 16 tunes. Hopefully we'll have a finished CD by early Fall this year.

To answer your question regarding Magnitude 9, yes Rob is the main writting source for the group while Corey focuses on the vocal melodies and words. The rest of the band adds their personal touches later when its time to record our tracks for the CD.

Also, thanks for your comments on the Hamer. I'm guessing that you are referring to my red 12 string bass. I love that bass. I bought it used in 1994 and it still sounds amazing to this day. I nicknamed the bass "JAWS" because of its growling sound.

Thanks again for the support and taking the time to listen to Magnitude 9's and Section 16's music!
